Fashion designer Dasha Gauser showcased her latest collection ‘’Faith’’ in Minsk during this year’s Belarus Fashion Week. Models walked confidently down the catwalk, while conforming to the idea of Gauser’s fictional Russian heroine – a strong modern woman that keeps her super abilities under the fragility and femininity.
Russian ethnic motifs and the cold climate of this region were, for the most part, inspiration throughout this fall-winter collection. Patterns have been omitted in some pieces, but also many outfits include something plaid or floral. Fashion show was opened with a few covered and tucked combinations, but soon the situation has developed in the direction of emphasized sensuality and provocation with style. Yes, we think the black leotard and the black deep V-neck dress, which were surprising moments of the show. Elegant floor-length silk frocks are not far behind them – on the contrary, these breezy garments add the high dose of luxury.
With regards to fabrics, it is obvious that the designer opted for an eclectic approach and used silk, wool (chunky sweaters and dresses), cotton and jersey (wrapped shapes are the results of having fun with this material). The color palette has been expanded and, although dominated by soft nude tones, bright hues that permeate are the most attention-grabbing.
With her talent, Dasha Gauser has been turning heads in recent years. She founded her namesake brand in 2006 in Russia and presented her debut collection in 2008 at Russia Fashion Week. Gauser’s brand has two lines of clothing – an everyday and more accessible one and other which concept is more suitable for red carpets and magazine editorials. Clothing is followed by one line of accessories, which is recognizable for its handbags and clutches in the form of men’s shirts.
